H. William Allen to Teach Class Action CLE

H. William Allen will be one of the presenters at Class Action Update: Today's Trends & Strategies for Success, sponsored by the National Business Institute. The course will be held February 21, 2008, at the Holiday Inn Presidential Conference Center in Little Rock. Bill will teach two sections--Ethical Considerations and Settlement Strategies.

H. William Allen Selected as a Mid-South Super Lawyer

H. William Allen was named to the 2007 Mid-South Super Lawyers for business litigation. The selection process to be named a super lawyer involves a multi-step evaluation process using peer recognition and professional achievement. This is the second consecutive year that Bill has received this honor.

Christian Harris to Give Presentation on New Judicial Federalism at Arkansas Fall Judicial Conference/Judicial Council Meeting

Christian Harris will present his talk, "The New Judicial Federalism in Arkansas: Five Years After the Annus Mirabilis" to the Arkansas Fall Judicial Conference/Judicial Council meeting on October 18, 2007.

H. William Allen Appointed to Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission

Lt. Governor Bill Halter nominated H. William Allen to the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission. Bill will serve as one of the three lawyer-members of the nine-member commission. The Commission's jurisdiction extends to about 400 full-time and part-time judges throughout Arkansas.

Christian Harris will teach a CLE at the annual Best of CLE. Christian's class is entitled Legal Technology in Arkansas: Small, Medium and Large Firm Best Practices. It will be offered June 21, 2007, 10:45 - 11:45, at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville.

Kevin Lemley to Give IP Seminar at Little Rock Small Business Development Center

Kevin Lemley will teach a seminar entitled Trademarks, Copyrights, Trade Secrets and Patents: Protecting Your Intellectual Property. The seminar will be presented June 19 2007, from 1:00 – 4:00 at the Arkansas Small Business Development Center. The Center is a public service unit of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's College of Business, in partnership with other Arkansas higher education institutions.

Brooks White to Teach CLE

Brooks White will be one of the teachers at a CLE event sponsored by the National Business Institute. The course, Insurance Law Update: Understanding Current Coverage Trends, will be held June 21, 2007 (more information here). Brooks will teach two sections: Personal and Advertising Injury Liability, and Ethical Issues.
